Oscar M. Cruz

I am a communications and brand design professional with seven-plus years of experience building publications, visual identity systems, and multimedia content for leading U.S. financial, policy, and academic institutions.

At JPMorganChase, I served as the lead designer for the Research, Policy, and Insights team, directing production of more than thirty reports, policy briefs, and one-pagers, including the "What Works" series. I authored and designed the RP&I Data Visualization and Editorial Guidelines, the brand system adopted across the Institute and PolicyCenter, and led the creative and communications strategy for the public launch of "What Works" in partnership with Axios and the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

At the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, I led regional communications and digital strategy for Latin America, building standardized design templates for publications, digital assets, and multimedia content. Over four years, I directed production of more than sixty reports, one-pagers, and fact sheets, produced over one hundred promotional and explainer videos, and led four ongoing podcast series totaling more than two hundred episodes. I curated the program's website and social media presence, produced more than one hundred and fifty email newsletters, and coordinated more than one hundred policy-focused conferences and events with regional heads of state and civil society actors, addressing the region's most urgent political, economic, and social challenges.

I hold a BA in International Relations from the University of Rochester and am completing an Executive MSc in Social Business and Entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics.
